Twisted Dinner Date
Two flamingos lean into each other in a wonderfully awkward tangle, one bird’s long pink neck curling down in a tight S while its black-tipped beak hovers just above the second bird’s upturned face. That second flamingo, washed in warmer orange tones, tips its head back with beak cracked open, caught mid-squawk or mid-kiss, it’s hard to say which. Feathers layer in bold strokes of hot pink and orange against a background of deep green foliage and a patch of golden blossoms. The whole pose reads like a squabble and a courtship at once, two birds thoroughly wrapped up in each other.
