Sunrise at Vero Beach

Photographer Annie Astley Padnuck (@unstruck_sound) is a frequent early-morning visitor to Vero Beach. On this particular September day, she captured a dramatic scene where the remnants of a storm clashed with the rising sun. Dark, heavy clouds lingered, stubbornly holding on as they tried to block out the light. But, in the end, the sun broke through, and the storm clouds slowly drifted away. Inspired by her reference photograph, I aimed to capture this fleeting moment of nature’s struggle and triumph. Thanks, Annie, for the use of your photograph.
